Shall
assist the President in whatever duties are assigned.

Shall
preside at any meeting in the absence of the President.

Shall
be responsible for soliciting donations to the scholarship fund by
clubs and individuals, acknowledging these donations by mail, and
giving money to Secretary/Treasurer for deposit into State Council
account. Clubs should send donations directly to Secretary/Treasurer.

Determine
colleges and universities that offer Earth Science courses. Contact
Professor of Earth Science Dept. to find scholarship recipients.

Shall
be responsible for the selection of the nominees for the annual
scholarship in accordance with rules in the By-Laws.

Rotate
the scholarship at colleges if possible.

Criteria
for choosing the recipient shall be:
A. A
junior or senior majoring in the Earth Sciences with a 3 point grade
average or above.
B.
Student must be a citizen of the United States.

Student
may be family member of rock club member, if chosen by the college
professor.

Scholarship
money if spent for school expenses is not considered as income for tax
purposes.

Schools
having Earth Science degrees are OSU, OU, and Phillips.

Professor
nominates students who need help. Vice-President chooses the best
qualified. Students who need help financially are to be chosen over
those who do not have a financial need.
